Connecting to your body. Returning to resonance.
Meet Christina
I believe healing is often a process of returning to ourselves. Trauma and stress can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, our relationships, and our sense of wholeness. When we begin to feel safe enough to slow down, we can move out of survival mode and reconnect with the wisdom already within us. You are the expert on you, and therapy can offer a space to gently listen to what your mind and body have been trying to communicate.
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Board-Certified Music Therapist, I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and feelings of disconnection.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Psychological Trauma from Antioch University. My work has also been deeply influenced by my mentorship with Carolyn Braddock and the somatics of trauma.
I take an integrative, holistic approach to therapy that honors the connection between mind, body, emotions, and spirit. When we experience trauma or chronic stress, the thinking parts of our brain often go offline. Because of this, I draw from approaches such as EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work, and mindfulness to support healing in ways that extend beyond words alone.
I believe that beneath our pain and protective patterns is an innate capacity for healing. Together, we create a space where all parts of you are welcome and where healing can unfold with curiosity, compassion, and connection.

How I Help
Because trauma and stress affect the whole-person (Mind, Body, Emotions, and Relationships), I draw from a variety of approaches and tailor therapy to your unique needs.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a specialized trauma treatment that works at the biological and neurological level to help the brain process experiences that remain unprocessed. Rather than relying on talk therapy alone, EMDR accesses the memories, emotions, physical sensations, and beliefs that are still active in your nervous system. As these experiences are reprocessed, they become less emotionally charged, allowing you to move forward without feeling as though the past is still happening in the present.
If you'd like to learn more about how EMDR works, I encourage you to visit the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) for a more in-depth explanation.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic Therapy recognizes that our experiences don't just live in our thoughts, they're carried in our bodies as well. By bringing gentle awareness to body sensations, breath, movement, and the nervous system, somatic therapy helps release patterns of stress, trauma, and tension that may be contributing to both emotional and physical symptoms.
Many people seek somatic therapy when they're experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, or a sense of feeling "stuck." It's also common for integrative medicine physicians, naturopathic doctors, pelvic floor therapists, and other holistic healthcare providers to refer clients to somatic therapy when physical symptoms may have an underlying stress- or trauma-related component. While somatic therapy is not a replacement for medical care, it can be a powerful complement to it, helping people reconnect with their bodies, restore a sense of safety, and support lasting healing.
